Heart&Stroke Lottery Rules & Regulations:

By purchasing a ticket in this lottery, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to the rules and regulations.

*Odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 3. All inquiries on the odds of winning are to be made to the licensee prior to ticket purchase. Only 255,000 tickets are available. Tickets are not tax deductible and must be purchased and delivered within the province of Ontario. Purchasers must be at least 18 years of age. (Only 1 name can be entered as a primary ticket holder). Tickets are $100 each or 3-Pack for $250 [for 3 pack ticket purchases; tickets must contain the same names and mailing address; up to 3 names may be recorded on a ticket; only one method of payment can be used; 3-Pack tickets will be mailed to the address of the primary ticket holder].

Alcohol and Gaming Commission regulations prohibit the following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household from purchasing a ticket: Heart and Stroke Foundation Board of Directors and employees; MiraTel Solutions Inc. employees, and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to the lottery program.

Tickets: All tickets are to be issued in sequential order. Only tickets that have been paid for, and have been verified as paid for, are eligible for respective draws. Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for delivery of ticket(s). It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure they have received their ticket(s) before the draws commence. Any requests for changes to the ticket buyer's name requires photo ID. Tickets cannot be reimbursed once draws commence. The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

Prizes: 73,086 prizes, at a value of $11,464,497.70 (including all taxes and freight), will be awarded. All prizes are tax-exempt. Prizes will be awarded to the primary ticket holder. It is the responsibility of the primary ticket holder to allocate prize as necessary.

Prizes and images may not be exactly as shown.  All prizes must be accepted as awarded.  Prices are approximate retail value as of Nov 21, 2009, and include all applicable taxes and freight. Prize(s) must be claimed within one year after the draw dates. Please allow a minimum of 2 to 6 weeks for delivery of prizes. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licencing body.

Grand Prizes: There are 10 Grand Prizes. Winners have the choice of the Grand Prize package or the cash out. • All trips include transportation from Toronto,  accommodations, transfers and taxes  for 2 adults.   Grand Prize 1: cash prize of $1.5 million. Grand Prize 2: 27-day Australia / New Zealand tour, 2010 BMW 528i, 2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid and cash of $30,965 or cash out = $182,732; Grand Prize 3: 20-day Canadian Rockies tour and Alaskan cruise,  2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and cash of $45,715 or cash out= $106,309. Grand Prize 5: 21-day European river cruise, 2010 Audi TT Roadster, and cash of $23,189 or cash out = $89,379. Grand Prize 6: 15-day Canadian Maritime Cruise, 2010 Chevy Equinox Sport and cash of $43,704 or cash out =$93,264. Grand Prize 7: 1-day Hawaiian getaway, 2010 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Ltd and cash of $37,754 or cash out =$91,153. Grand Prize 8: 28-day United Kingdom Tour, 2010 Mazda MX5 GS and cash of $45,694 or cash out =$89,787. Grand Prize 9: 16-day Scandinavian Cruise,  2010 Chrysler Town & Country and cash of $25,138 or cash out =$85,515. Grand Prize 10: 7-day land stay in Barbados and 7 day Caribbean cruise, 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and cash of $47,717 or cash out =$88,793.

Live Carefree for a Year Prize: Live Carefree for a year prize includes:  2010 Volkswagen Eos Comfortline ($43,983), gas $7000 (awarded as cash), groceries $15,000 (awarded as cash), loaded credit card $17,000 and cash of $20,000. Total retail value is $102,983 or cash out= $94,127

Early Bird Prize: Cash Prize of $300,000

Vehicle winners have the option of choosing one prize from the set of two or taking the cash-out option. Vehicle winners are responsible to license and insure the vehicle from the time of ownership. Electronic, Home and Lifestyle Prizes: All electronic, home and lifestyle prizes must be accepted as awarded with no cash-out option. All prizes are subject to substitution of models of equivalent value in the event the models awarded are not available. All winners will be notified by mail with complete instructions on how to redeem their prize.

Key Dates and Draws: Winning tickets will be drawn under the supervision of MiraTel Solutions Inc. All Draws (except the 10 Grand Prize Draws) will take place at the offices of MiraTel Solutions Inc. located at 2501 Steeles Ave W., Toronto, ON M3J 2P1. After each winning token is drawn and recorded, it is returned to the drum and is eligible for all subsequent draws. Draw order will be: Live Carefree for a Year Prize, Early Bird Prize, and then the prize of least retail value up to the Top Grand Prize.

Live Carefree for a Year Prize deadline is midnight May 11, 2010. Live Carefree for a Year Prize draw will take place at 9am May 27, 2010.  Early Bird Prize deadline is midnight June 10, 2010. Early Bird Prize draw will take place at 9am on June 25, 2010. The Final Sales Deadline is midnight June 15, 2010. Final draws will be held from 9 am June 30 to July 13th. The 10 Grand Prize Draws will be conducted at Global Television, 81 Barber Greene Rd., Don Mills, Ontario M3C 2A2 on July 20, 2010 from 9:00 am - 2 pm. Top 3 Grand Prizes draws (taped July 20) will be broadcast on July 26, 2010 during Global News from 6:00-7:00 pm.

Winners Notification: Major winners will be published in the Toronto Star on Aug 3. A complete list will be available at all Heart and Stroke Foundation offices and on our Web site www.heartandstroke.ca/lottery on Aug. 3, 2010. Winners agree to the use of their name and photo for publicity purposes by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
